PRESENTATION BY DARRYL WAGONER: DIGITAL FLES RADIO & SYSTEM Configuring digital programs with a FlexRadio transceiver requires setting up two core software components. AetherSDR is a free, open-source alternative client designed specifically for FlexRadio transceivers (FLEX-6000, FLEX-8000, and Aurora series). It serves as a modern replacement for the official SmartSDR desktop software. Unlike SmartSDR, which is heavily tied to Windows, AetherSDR is truly multi-platform. It runs natively on Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Linux, and even Raspberry Pi (ARM64 architectures) without needing Wine or virtual machines. Where to Find and Download: AetherSDR.comOfficial Home Page: You can view release notes, engineering blogs, and project updates directly on the AetherSDR Home Page. Source Code & Releases: Because it is a free, open-source community project, the active development repository and cross-platform installation packages (including Windows setup wizards, macOS DMGs, and Linux AppImages) are hosted on the AetherSDR GitHub Repository.Windows App Store: If you prefer a managed installation on Windows, it is also available through the Microsoft Store App Listing. General conversation occurred, questions and answers. DMR wants everyone to update their information on RadioId.net because they are cleaning up their rosters.
Online Meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. 7 pm available via BCRO.org website . |
