BCRO JULY 2024 Meeting

 AGENDA 
1.OFFICERS REPORTSTreasurer Report:   Treasure Randy Estess treasure’s report was voted upon and accepted unanimously Secretary Report:     Secretary Susan Walker, Minutes voted and accepted unanimously.
 2.OLD BUSINESSRepeater Report:    Steve Warner:  Waiting on a generator worker for the Centerton location.  Lisa Johnson has accompanied Steve while making the rounds to the repeater sites. 
3.NEW BUSINESSNet report:   Net lineup was reviewed.  Net Controls: 1.  Van Allen; 2.  Susan Walker; 3.  Steve Werner; 4. Lisa Johnson; 5.  Lisa Johnson .             Net Controllers, please publicize that BCRO meetings are virtual via the BCRO website.       Testing:   Testing continues the 3rd Saturday of the month at Cross Church in Springdale. The group was notified of new test questions for the “EXTRA” testing.  Preregister is made through Darryl Wagoner.  Email:  darryl@waggoner.me             A request for VE’s is ongoing.   Website:  Currently, Van Allen is assisting with the website and doing a great job.  Web ideas continue to be discussed.  Platforms are discussed.   Window Display: The display at Rogers Library was removed upon notification of the library being partly available after the tornado.    POTENTIAL FUTURE EVENTS:     NWA EMERGENCY PREPAREDNES FAIR, September 21, 2024 @ 9 AM. STORM SPOTTER TRAINING 2024 URL https://www.weather.gov/tsa/spotter_training New business:  Continued discussion about where and when to have occasional “in-person” socials and meetings.   President Paul Blomgren authorized the purchase of about $100.00 for 300 ft of rope for the Gin Pole. EDUCATIONAL TALK    Presented by Steve Warner: HOW TO RENEW YOUR LICENSE, and technological computer TRAPS.   Paul Blomgren gave an online demonstration renewing his License.  HE WAS SUCCESSFUL!   Much discussion, education, and exploration occurred.  Be prepared to log-in to the ARRL site several times during the renewing process. Be prepared to possibly get locked out of the site, then have to correct it.          On-line meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month available via BCRO website.
